About Me
I am a Helsinki-based photographer, videographer, and visual content creator with a career that spans over three decades. Since embarking on my professional journey in 1989, my passion for capturing the world through a lens has only deepened.
In recent years, I've honed my focus on street photography—a genre that is as accessible as it is challenging. Street photography offers endless opportunities for learning and creativity, and I believe that even a smartphone can be a powerful tool for capturing the candid beauty of urban life.
I share my experiences and techniques through my blog, Ajatuksia Valokuvauksesta (Thoughts on Photography), where I delve into the art and craft of photography. On my YouTube channel, I explore street photography in depth, providing viewers with practical insights and inspiration.
My love for photography began in the 1970s with my first SLR camera, a Cosina CS-1. Even after becoming a professional, I still view photography as a beloved hobby, often reaching for my mobile phone to capture spontaneous moments.
I've had the privilege of serving as an Olympus European Visionary (2014-2020) and an OM SYSTEM Ambassador (2022-2023). Today, my main tools of choice are Fuji and Ricoh GR3x cameras. I hope you enjoy my photographs and find value in the content I create as you continue your own photographic journey.
